About Jennifer DeBrito, CCLD, CCBE, CSP

Certified Christian Labor Doula, Certified Christian Childbirth Educator, Certified Splankna Practitioner, and Author

Jennifer DeBrito

Jennifer is the owner of Eden's Promise and founder of the Adopt-A-Mom project . She has worked as a doula since 2010 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Natural Health. She is well-versed in a variety of natural healing techniques, such as homeopathy, aromatherapy, flower remedies, natural nutrition, and wellness planning. Called to pursue the holistic model of health further, she obtained her Master Splankna Therapy Practitioner certification in 2015. She currently supports parents (and children) in body, mind, and spirit from this profoundly efficient angle. (Click here to learn more about Splankna Therapy.)

Also as part of her passion for giving couples a strong foundation as parents, Jen authored the couple's devotional and childbirth education class, Expectant Parents Workshop . She was the 3-time doula to Suzanne Hadley Gosselin (esteemed author of Expectant Parents, a Focus on the Family book released in October of 2014.) You will find some of Jen's teaching within the binds of this welcoming book for first-time parents.

Jen founded the Eden's Promise Holistic Christian Birth Community in 2015. She is proud to mentor and support post-certificate doulas and other birth professionals who share her heart for the community. She is married with two children, and two birth stories, of her own.

Jen doesn't pretend to be more than she is.

In fact, she has learned a lot of lessons the hard way. Her life is definitely not a perfect little story that can be wrapped up in a pretty bow. But she loves to tell how Christ changed her life forever when she was pregnant with her first child.

Jen is an encourager, an optimist, a philosopher, and sometimes, a big nerd. She loves "dad jokes." She values authenticity, kindness, creativity, and hard work. She really dislikes exclusivity and elitism. Among her favorite books are One Thousand Gifts by Anne Voskamp, and Travelling Mercies by Anne Lammot. Her life's verse (the one that best defines her personal walk with her Savior) is Zechariah 4:6, which reminds her that while her natural inclination is to push her way through hardship, her greatest and most dependable Strength is not her own. In her spare time if she's not goofing around with her children, you'll likely find her whipping up a quick aromatherapy blend, catching live music with her husband, or dancing her heart out at Zumba class.

Jen wants to help you trust and believe that there is a plan for you—a really good one! This time of life was pivotal for her. Her hope is that it will be for you, too!
